____________________________________ Legal Notice ____________________________________ IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE CHICKASAW NATION ADA, OKLAHOMA In the Matter if the Adoption of, Kayla Marie Artherholt, DOB 09/20/2008 a Minor Child Case No. A-16-02 ORDER and NOTICE OF HEATING TO ADOPT WITHOUT CONSENT The Chickasaw Nation to: Twyla Dawn Artherholt and Unknown Father You are notified that Mindy Mayo gas filed a Petition before the above named Court, praying that she be allowed to adopt the minor child named in the caption here of without your consent, and for adoption. Take notice that the Application to determine your consent not necessary for the completion of this adoption is on file with the Clerk of this Court; that a copy of the Application is attached hereto, and that, among other things, it is alleged in the Application that: The Natural Mother, Twyla Dawn Artherholt, and the Natural Father, Unknown Father, who do not have custody, and has not had custody for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months out of the past fourteen (13) months immediately preceding the filing of this Petition, has willfully failed, refused or neglected to contribute to the support of the Child; and, therefore, your consent to the adoption is not necessary, and that Petitioner is a proper person to adopt. A hearing on the Application to determine whether your consent to the adoption is necessary is set for 10:30 o’clock a.m. on the 5th day of May, 2016, in the District Court of the Chickasaw Nation, Ada, Oklahoma. YOU ARE, THEREFORE NOTIFIED THAT THE COURT WILL HEAR EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF AND IN OPPOSITION TO THE GRANTING OF THE APPLICATION AT THE TIME AND PLACE ABOVE SHOWN WHERE YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PRESENT AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD AT SAID TIME AND PLACE INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE ADOPTION OF YOUR CHILD.
